She might have looked lost. Faye knew where her room approximately was, but she had not expected for the inside of the dormitory to look that big. When she was still standing outside, she was even a little disappointed, as the building had not met her expectations - all inflated by her son’s flattery towards the Academy - but as soon as she saw the interior her enthusiasm peaked a little. It almost felt like the outside was a magic trick for the eyes, and the space just abruptly enlarged as soon as one stepped in. Well.
Inside, she did not expect to see anyone that soon but an appearance of a man caught her interest, though only for a few seconds. Dragging her clutch along with her, she nodded gently before stopping, realizing that she was somewhat disoriented. “Excuse me,” she turned around, glancing down at a piece of paper she’d been holding in her free hand. “Could you point me in the direction of 2E?”
Huh? Oh, she was talking to him. Damn, he had been hoping she wouldn’t. He really didn’t have the energy to speak to people. Which might have been why his next comment came with such ill thought out wording. “You’re directly underneath me, lucky you.” It was more a worded thought than anything else, but the moment he finished his sentence, he knew there was something off about it. He really was too tired for this. He needed to get back to bed.
“Mm, it’s up another flight of stairs and on the left-hand side.” He really must have been tired if he was actually helping.
