Have you read your copy of Legend so many times it no longer has functioning covers? Do you keep extra copies of Eleanor & Park on hand at all times, because you keep loaning yours out but can't stand to live without it? Did you name your pet fish Gansey, Kaz, and Sierra?
Heads up, YA fans: Barnes & Noble's second annual Teen Book Festival is coming in September!
See you at B-Fest!
GREETINGS, MY FRIENDS. This #FutureFriday sees us en route to Evanston, Illinois to attend B-Fest 2018! We will be seeing a full 24 hours of B movies with about 200 of our closest friends!
To all of those who will be in attendance, please save us an aisle seat! To all those who are not attending, please return on Monday for your new prediction!
And to all of you: enjoy your weekend!
B-Fest next week!
Just in case you missed it, my friends, B-Fest 2018 is happening next weekend (January 26-27) at the Northwestern University campus in Evanston, Illinois! People from all over the country, and a few from abroad, will be attending for a 24-hour film festival featuring the best and worst in B movies!
Odds are unlikely that there are any tickets left by the time you read this, but check over at the B-Fest site just to make sure. And for those of you who have your tickets, we’ll see you next weekend!
My friends, the long-running film festival B-Fest has placed tickets on sale for this year’s event! If you are located anywhere in or near Illinois, I heartily recommend this event, which will be a 24-hour showcase of the most disturbing films that it is legal to show in a public venue!
Among the long-standing traditions at B-Fest is of course a midnight screening of the Edward D. Wood, Jr. classic Plan 9 from Outer Space, a movie which is obviously near and dear to my heart.
Therefore, I can completely recommend this event, and urge you all to attend B-Fest 2018!

B-Fest 2017!
This past weekend, Northwestern university hosted B-Fest 2017, the annual 24-hour B-movie marathon where a couple hundred film fans meet in the dark to see if they can stay awake during a rather motley crew of film fare!
This year’s festival featured such terrible films as Hercules in New York (Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first film), Malibu Express (the ne plus ultra of Andy Sidaris films), and They Live (a Reagan-era film that has become all too relevant in 2017)!
The full lineup is worth perusing, as it gives you an idea of how much the attendees could withstand! The nadir of this year’s lineup was no doubt The Gong Show Movie, which is one of those films that makes you question why good film was wasted in the creation of such a product!
We had hoped to send a troupe of interns from the Fake Criswell home office, but we ended up going to another event that was being held on Saturday, and somehow forgot to attend! Sorry about that, guys.
At any rate, I trust that all attendees enjoyed themselves, that there were very few accidental dismemberments this year, and that everyone got home in time to take a good long nap! Congratulations to all attendees, and start getting ready for B-Fest 2018.
