Finished bloodstained, and let me tell you...
1) All bosses become disgustingly easy once you manage to get the chisel barage shard (water stream/inferno breath earlier but still doesn't compare to the sheer range and damage of chisel assault).
Thank fuck it's from a bonus boss but honestly, that thing is insane, only one I couldn't do much against was Final Boss Phase 2 (Omitted due to spoilers) but that's mostly due to the nature of it and the platforms, but except that I made all other bonus bosses and most other bosses my bitch.
2) It SHOWS this game was crowdfounded, every room with a painting is basically a testament to that, as are the 3 giant cats and 2 giant dogs (I'm pretty sure someone's pet who got in due to nepotism).
3) Pretty great game all in all, I especially love the shard mechanic (if a bit random), thr ability to either steal the powers or summon those you slay it has always been a pretty neat mechanic in games, kinda reminded me of the Magic System in tales of eternia, and I loved that Magic System.
4) Found guns and bullets pretty much useless honestly. Magic works better for long range.
5) Fuck the water level but most importantly FUCK flying enemies and those bullshit rooms with hazards and bullshit enemies bumping you into them, ESPECIALLY in the lava level.
Major spoilers for the final boss of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Seriously, it’s a pretty good reveal, don’t do this to yourself.
We good? Okay, so when I got to Dominique, she does the really impressively creepy thing where she crystallizes from the neck down while grinning before she says a word. She launches into her big villain speech about how there is no god, the weak deserve to to die-
My Alexa: “This is a reminder; take your medicine.”
Me: *loses mind laughing, tension destroyed*
I had to share this experience. Now I have to take my medicine.

My Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Fanfic! It’s a time-travel, featuring Johannes as the main character. It’s still in progress at the moment, and has a word count of 26,595.
Description: “Johannes spent 10 years regretting not doing more when he could have. The loss of Gebel and Alfred are just two more regrets.
Then, a strange creature offers him a deal that sounds too good to be true: a second chance. He should say no- he had leaned first hand what happens to those who make deals with creatures from hell, but...
He’s spent 10 years regretting not doing more, he’s not sure if he’ll last another 10, knowing he could have done something.”
So...should we expect a lot of crossover artwork of Yooka-Laylee, Mighty Number 9, and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night? Since well, you know they all share similar situations and whatnot?
