Circa 2013 All of these photos are of a much younger me. They sit in a random shared folder and I’m still not sure how they got there. When I first flipped through There was no reaction. But I went through them a second time I burst into tears. I realized that it has taken me 33, almost 34 years to recognize my value. And I wanted for that me to know what that feels like. But she does. She feels it now. I feel it now. And I am eternally grateful. And for every black woman who has ever struggled with loving herself. Just know I always got your back. You ain’t alone and that shit ain’t easy.I love you. I recognize you.
