I cried y’all. I am still crying. I have worked so hard and experienced so much discrimination at the hands of an industry that would rather continue to uphold racist ideals and systems instead of admitting the harm that has been done and that continues to be done at the hands of whiteness and white supremacy. But I took that pain and I flipped it. I don’t need to be liked. But I know that the work I am doing is necessary and right. The time is now. No more excuses. I will continue to stand tall and speak wide on behalf of Black folx and until we reach true inclusion and diversity in this industry and beyond. It’s time for white folx in the salon world to listen the Black folx. There is nothing that you can say because you have all been complicit in continuing the the divide that exists in the salon and beauty world. You can view the rest of the feature in my story. . . . Thank you to Alexandria Adams and her team along with all the folx @wsmvtv for sharing my story. . . . Black Beauty School - The Virtual Edition is officially here.
