our leaf insects laid eggs! they can take up to a year to hatch, apparently. pretty exciting though.

The  energy  of  the  day  has  him  beaming  before  she  even  gives  him  the  gifts.       Although it seems physically impossible, his smile grows even bigger as he turns over the card in his hands, reading the inscription with a little laugh. Eyes bright with adoration, he reaches out to pull her into a huge bear hug. Complete with squeezing her as tight as possible for a few seconds!        “Jas, this is adorable. Look at the little babies, I love them!”       Babies, he’s referring to the drawings of animals on the card, of course. He lets her go, and then reaches into his pocket to pull out a little box; inside, a necklace he found that reminded him of her, the charm a little pink flower.      “I totally forgot to get you a card though, I’m so sorry.”
