These adorable Baby Face Cake Pops are the perfect sweet treat for a gender reveal baby shower by SweetWhimsyShop. The outside is a delightful surprise, revealing the baby's gender with a touch of pink or blue. The edible markers add cute facial features to each cake pop, making them not only delicious but also irresistibly charming.
Ingredients: 1 box of cake mix flavor of your choice. 1/2 cup of frosting. 12 lollipop sticks. White candy melts. Pink and blue candy melts. Edible markers black and pink. 12 small round candies for eyes e.g., chocolate-covered sunflower seeds. Pink and blue sprinkles. Small heart-shaped sprinkle for mouth.
Instructions: Bake the cake as directed on the package, then allow it to cool fully. In a large bowl, crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs. Mix the frosting thoroughly with the cake crumbs after adding it. A tiny portion of the mixture should be rolled into a ball and shaped like a baby face. Put a lolly stick inside every cake pop. As directed on the package, melt white candy in a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave. Make sure every cake pop is completely covered by dipping it into the melted white candy. Allow any extra candy to fall off. To set, place the cake pops on a tray lined with parchment paper. Melt the blue and pink candy in different bowls. To create the gender reveal effect, dip the top half of each cake pop into either pink or blue candy melts. Before decorating, give the candy coating a little time to set. Draw each baby's eyes, lashes, and rosy cheeks with edible markers. Using a dab of melted candy, attach a small round candy for the eye and a heart-shaped sprinkle for the mouth. To find out the baby's gender, place pink or blue sprinkles on the appropriate side of the cake pop. Before serving the cake pops at the baby shower, let them completely set.
