Myles is two weeks old today... To celebrate, we tested-out his kitchen chair and his steriliser... Today’s new experience is this chair - he’s had a clean bill of health this morning from the Health Visitor, and is working on his full repertoire of ‘Jurassic Park’ sound effects... Home time!! I have driven literally hundreds of thousands of miles in my life, but none of them were as stressful as the 5.9 I’ve just driven with Francesca and Myles in the back seat... Anyway - they’re home - and it was exactly as people described... What has he taught us today? - I should always bring more than one T-shirt to the hospital - ‘burping’ or ‘winding’ doesn’t quite describe the process (also connected to my first learning point:)) - newborn nappies are epic! - he has a favourite game of eating, then getting clean and - just as his Mum or Dad has closed the last bit of sticky tape on his nappy - looking us in the eye and filling-up his new clothes!!! - his second new bit of entertainment is seeing just how wriggly he can get whilst you’re trying to fit him into a sleep suit, gurgling with happiness the whole time!:)) - we simply cannot buy enough sleepsuits with built-in scratch mittens:) Don’t worry - these daily updates won’t last into his school years - just whilst this whole thing is brand new and glorious and amazing!:)) #ChroniclesofMyles #BabyLewis #iamtoooldforthis #lifebeyondmywildestdreams (at Kensington Building, University of Leicester) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2ATFl2gqx2/?igshid=164jpazlvdph8
