finally, FINALLY !!!

after over a month of waiting I finally got my hands on this wonderful piece of art that is @fdevitart‘s Bacchai and let me tell you, the wait was totally worth it !

I’m so happy that I got to see an amazing adaptation of one of my favorite plays and honestly, the art-style, the chara-design, the plot and THE ENDING, everything is so beautiful and I’m in love with Dionysus’ design !!

also side-note but I didn’t expected that ending ! I legit thought it would end like in the original play (you know, Pentheus getting killed by the bacchantes and Dionysus banning both Cadmus and his daughters from Thebes) and I thought the finale was so sweet and beautiful, I legit almost cried...

so anyway, Bacchai was such a great surprise and I’m so glad that I finally got to read it, I would gladly suggest that comic if you’re into Greek mythology and/or plays, especially if like me you like Dionysus !

So life got horribly in the way of me actually finishing this in time for @fdevitart ‘s Bacchai DTIYS challenge, but hey I figured I should still post it as a tribute to how excited I am to be getting a copy of Bacchai soon!! I decided to take a different approach to the original picture (third image) and I am SO PLEASED with how this turned out! I loved drawing the flowers and the hair!!
