The evening will start at 5 P.M. (though punctuality is overrated). Come as you are, or in party attire, or dungarees and cowboy boots, or glitter and glam. What's important is that you come prepared for a good time. There will be music, dancing, drinks, food, and games.
(further event details below the cut)
Located at Harmony Ranch's main barn, the venue has been outfitted with lights, flowers, and speakers. A dance floor has been cleared in the center, and there is room for live performances and (once you've been properly liquored) some karaoke.
All our femme leaning Merrockites are welcome to attend. While there will be plenty of libations, please feel free to BYOB. Small finger foods and donuts will be provided throughout the evening. At six, a delivery of burgers and fries from The Hut will arrive.
Entertainment includes a photo booth with props (boas, glasses, mustaches, cowboy hats, etc.), ring toss, and bingo. Scheduling, and organization, of such activities will fall to the energy of the evening and the bride-to-be. At ten on the dot, however, the guests of honor are scheduled to perform. The Dixon Six are longtime friends of the bride's soon to be sister-in-law and have come up to Merrock for a one night only performance. All those who wish to opt out are free to enjoy entertainment outside. Those who do wish to attend, please bring singles to show your appreciation of the men.
Feel free to stick around late into the evening. Designated drivers are on standby, though beds have been made available in the loft area of the barn. Most of all remember this night is to celebrate Cordelia so bring your congratulations and your cheer.
I threw the best spooky bachelorette party I could have for Lace last night. We had so much fun. We went out to dinner at this brewery that used to be a church. The food was amazing. Then we went to a place called Pins Mechanical to drink and play duckpin bowling.
I'm currently broke, but it was worth it to see Lace have a great time!
I’m happy to see Bachelorette Party end. Not in the, “the evil is defeated” way, but it is time.
BP started strong and gave great things for PB to improve and learn from. It forced PB to focus on female friendships and less focus on men. The plot didn’t involve the main male LI, really, and honestly the main LI was a female.
I feel like it overstayed its welcome the past few weeks and the case was a major letdown. And the whole drama with Skip... I’ll be furious if we have to pay to break up a clearly emotional abuse and controlling relationship. It shouldn’t be an option to have her stay with him.
That said, I’ll miss the Girl Scouts and the girl power BP excelled at. Also, Asha. I’ll miss her the most.
One of the things I like so much about Bachelorette Party is that they are showing us the friendship between the main 4, not just telling us they are bffs and restricting the bonding to diamond scenes.
We see it in the flashback, in the way they interact, in the casual banter. We’re only 3 chapters in but these 4 already feel like long time besties and a lot of other books do not so that nearly as well.
(Platinum and Nightbound are big offenders of this)
