She's always a minute too late..

One of my coworkers is notorious for coming in late. Not super late, but, like, two minutes late. Which a big no-no in our store.

She was upwards to 5 minutes late today, which was unfortunate because they really needed her up front. When she gets in, one of the department heads (who was sick and cranky) ripped into her for being late.

"You've worked here long enough, you should know better!"

Later coworker was all like, "What is WITH that woman? It's got nothing to do with her!"

Well, I'm not getting in the middle, ok?! My coworker has her faults... she can be a little late and she hates to re-bag! But she also does a lot of things really well and there's stuff she does that goes unnoticed by a lot of people but that I greatly appreciate. I don't want to talk bad about her, ok? 

On the other hand, she is always late! And she should know better!

So later I'm talking to this coworker and she tells me how she was late because she got an emergency call from her Grandma. I just look at her and say, "Why didn't you say that earlier?!"

LOL.

I was actually upset at her, but for selfish reasons. If she'd just SAID the reason she was late, I wouldn't have gotten put between the two of them. I hate having to listen to two people say nasty things behind the other person's back. I hate it. I don't want to be a part of it! 

Goodness! 

Anyway. Coworkers. They're like that sometimes!

Learned my lesson

We've been having issues with a room mate (who also happens to be one of my co-workers) and in my human flaw, discussed her with another room mate. I vented in the form of back-biting only to find out she was home the entire time and most likely heard all of it. I know back-biting is a sin and causes harm and pain so please make du'a that at least this leads to positive changes in both of us and that we learn and grow from it as well. Please also make du'a that Allah (swt) forgive me for my transgression.

If a person truly believe in the Akhirah and the punishment of the grave and lets that register in their mind, they will never go to the extreme of back biting someone.

One will lay in his grave with torment seizing him from every angle for hundreds or how every many of years Allahu A’lam until the trumpet is blown for words he posted on Twitter or Tumblr or Facebook or any of the other social networking sites which he thought meant nothing but to Allah Azza Wa Jal they were very serve.

Amongst the most dangerous sins after Shirk are the sins that pertain to the rights of others, be careful in your tongue.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF SIN

’One who obstructs a hungry man from having his food or thirsty person from quenching his thirst commits a sin similar to that of killing a brahmin/cow.’

Following the religion of other’s after abandoning his/her own,

criticizing the Vedas,

tormenting virtuous people,

not respecting one’s parents,

studying the scriptures in an impure physical state,

back biting,

seeing faults with others and demeaning their efforts,

acquiring other’s land by unfair means,

having illicit relationship with women/men other than one’s wife/husband,

telling lies,

showing disrespect to the guests,

killing innocent animals,

killing plants, however It’s severity is less because most of the time CEREALS, PULSES, OIL SEEDS and FRUITS etc. are collected and used only when they are withered from the plants i.e. when their life cycle is completed. If they are collected before the right time then, no oil from oil seeds can be produced and FRUITS taste will not be good

eating non veg, not considered as sin if there is no food available and it’s necessary for survival, however like plants, animals which have completed their life cycle should be preferred
