happy Sunday . Reminding you all again that forrest prefers to top and not only that he’s good at it. Okay bye
it's the fact that haru's brother, haku, plays such a pivotal role in the cat developing and keeping a shred of humanity while she's still wild, and how she manages to hold onto it for as long as she does. haku's passing is a critical moment in her life, across all universes (maybe there's like... two au's where i let him live), and it paints all of her future development. she worked so hard to be more human, to create and keep a balance of who she is as a beastkin between man and animal, but so much of it is lost after haku's death. she just wants to hide, she turns angry and hateful, obsessively vengeful in verses where he's murdered. everything she did was for him to have a better life, and now there is no life for him to have at all. scenes where she pictures haku and it keeps her steady, keeps her on the path. but without him there to lead her forward, straying away from it feels like the only course of action. i talk about Her haunting the whole of the narrative, but haku specifically haunts everything haru does. "i sit down for dinner / with my dead brother again / this is the last dream i want to have."
small portrayal update i guess? just mentioning as i've realized, while i've described bucky as kind of agender trans fem in the past, i don't feel this is wholly adequate; i think the most in-line expression of gender i can ascribe a label to is something more like bigender trans fem. he does experience a disconnection from gender but it is because of dehumanization and dissociation, and i don't necessarily want to conflate the two or tie them wholly together (one can effect the other, but even without it in the end bucky is still trans fem). he was assigned male at birth, raised thinking and assuming he was a cis male while experiencing some kind of gender dysphoria he couldn't identify nor alleviate, and in the modern day it's not so easy as just presenting femininely and giving it a go because he's already done that as the winter soldier and it didn't make him happy, exactly. bucky is a boy who is also a girl who is trans feminine because he's amab.
ok hope this made sense toodles
I don't think we talk about this enough.
Thinking about the universe where the war doesnt end, and Harry has to lead a new order of the phoenix and make choices that, quite frankly, chip away at his soul until he doesnt know whats left of himself.
thinking about danny and the whole like... so touch starved you're kind of touch repulsed. thinking about the there's always gonna be a ribbon of loneliness running through me. just thinking things, ykwim???
