RCMP say an ATV operator driving on a section of the trail near Dean’s Road, was knocked off his machine after striking a 3/4 inch cable strung across the trail.

RCMP were called to a home in Natuashish around 6:30 Tuesday morning. Police say the accused, identified as Ben Rich, had been at the property, had a weapon when he assaulted a man, then left the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result.
