📖 Storyboard Artist

Create storyboards, shot layouts, and scene planning

Help shape the pacing, camera work, and storytelling

🏞️ Background / Environment Artist

Create environments, locations, and backgrounds

Help build the world and atmosphere of Rootbound

✨ Visual Development Artist (Optional)

Help develop the visual style, colors, props, and world design

Requirements:

• Portfolio required • Able to communicate through Discord • Comfortable receiving feedback • Interested in collaborating on an indie project

Software:

• Storyboard Artist — Storyboarder • Background / Visual Development — Krita or similar software

About Rootbound:

Rootbound is an anime-inspired dark fantasy story focused on mystery, emotional storytelling, and a world where magic is slowly fading.

This is currently an unpaid collaboration project. Team members will receive credit for their contributions, and future compensation plans will be discussed if the project generates revenue.

i feel i am caught in the in-between. gladly i have background art to keep me company and keep my interest.

since yesterday i have been drawing backgrounds and i feel i can focus again when working on them.

Forgot to post this here, but not too long ago I got asked to step up as co-background lead on Helluva Boss. This team is a DREAM! everyone is so lovely and amazing and incredible at what they do. I honestly couldn't be happier.

Shark Boy Summer is out!!! This was my first time doing a colourscript, and getting to do it for a full song was such an honour. I'm hoping I might get to post that, but in the meantime, here's the few BGs I worked on, I'm so proud of that shark disco statue. My brief was "think Scooby doo spooky island skull but shark"
