So, recently I’ve been writing a Wicked/WOZ 1939 fic where before any of the Kansans get inside the storm cellar it’s blocked and so all of them end up sheltering in the house and also coming to Oz with Dorothy, where Hunk, Hickory and Zeke join Dorothy on her trip to the Emerald City, with the former twos appearance being nearly identical to their Wicked counterparts when they were human, and, since I’m trying to follow the journey of the OG book relatively closely, since in the OG book the night before she meets Scarecrow, Dorothy actually sleeps in the OG Boqs house, I decided it would be a fun swap to have that be Nick Chopper, the original Tin Woodsman, instead, only not so metallic here (and Nimmie Amee as his wife!), and of course I had to reference this, and had this little exchange after the four were back on the road:

"Those two were very nice, don't you think?" Zeke asked Dorothy, who nodded;

"Mhmm! I really liked Nick, it almost felt like I already knew him from a different life, but that's silly, isn't it?" she replied, hopping from one brick to another, trying to avoid the gaps between them

"I wouldn't say that, there's obviously magic here, maybe in some other world you had met him" Hunk suggested

"Maybe, he kinda reminded me of Hickory for some reason, maybe because he's related to this Boq guy who looks so much like him" Dorothy noted

"I'm still confused by that, I didn't know two unrelated people could look that close in appearance" Hickory thought aloud

"Eh, probably just a weird coincidence of some kind, don't think about it too hard" Hunk shrugged, elbowing his friend lightly, Hickory releasing a small chuckle at the tease, shoving him back, as the group continued down the road.
