So guys, as you know I'm travelling right now and as I am a budget backpacker who's fed up with people, this time I ditched hostel dorms for questionable private rooms with shared utilities in subpar hotels. All fine until now, no surprises, I got what I paid for.
Until tonight. Apparently the room I booked is in a private residence. The owner, lovely lady from 🇮🇹 as myself, is a hippie TM. You know, long flowy dress, braided hair, free love etc. The house is like a sanctuary, pictures, posters, dream catchers, incense everywhere. Fair, her house.
The doors to the rooms she's renting have no locks. And they're made of glass. For privacy, there's a curtain hanging just beyond the doorstep.
Also, my room has a window looking at the hallway. Still, just a curtain on the other side I cannot control from inside.
Now, I come back from sightseeing to my room and the whole house is dark, no sign of life. As soon as I shut my room's door behind me, someone emerges from the darkness, reaches the bathroom and releases a massive burp (very manlike).
I let some time pass and venture to the toilet for a quick shower, I then fix the privacy curtains from the outside and try to fix the little flimsy hook the door presents on the inside. Get into bed. The FUCKING CURTAIN OUTSIDE WON'T STOP MOVING. In the hallway, no wind. It keeps waving up and down, left and right. Fucking unbelievable.
So, I'm sitting in the dark listening to any possible sound, trying to decide if I'd rather have a ghost haunting or a burping man on the other side of a flimsy glass door and a silly curtain.
Pray for me guys 🤷🏻♀️

We’re on our second road trip at the moment, travelling between Melbourne and Sydney. The highlights of this journey included venturing into a completely dark rainforest to see glow worms and sighting wild platypus in a river this morning! My Australian visa is up in two months so I’ve started planning my next adventure in New Zealand. Oz has been great but I’m so excited for what’s to come!
After two months of an epic backpack-trip through South-east Asia, I can finally put all the photos I’ve taken.
And I’m happy about it.

De retour de voyage en Asie, je peux enfin tout poster. Petit à petit.
