I had a feeling last night before I went to bed (here in Sydney) that the Barge would get the final 400 backers while I was asleep...less than 4 hours later (by the looks of it) 5000 was reached and the Barge was backed. From the outset I have been behind this project even though it is 3.75” because of the whole #HasLab concept and what it could mean for the 6” line in the future. Firstly a big thanks to the US and Canadian folks that got the backers to 5000 as well as those of you for international markets that found a way to get on board and support. As a result of the 5000 target being met collectors in markets outside will have an opportunity to purchase one of these through select retailers in the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia. Congrats too to @mrstevie18 and the whole design team over @hasbro. It would have been criminal not to give Mark Boudreaux this gig which I called the other day a once in a generation toy release. Jabba’s Sail Barge is the GIJOE Aircraft Carrier and it will be something that will be desired and remembered fondly by more than the 5000+ who actually purchase it. Watching the second market price on the YakFace POF carded figure will be a sport within itself...😳 Although HasLab will be used for other Hasbro brands throughout the year it will reportedly be a one time a year event for the Star Wars brand... that being said let’s hope that this time next year we are all celebrating something epic 6” Black Series and most importantly available internationally for all collectors to get behind and invest in. I did think a few days ago that this project was looking like it was in trouble but not impossible. Now I would say it is possible but not guaranteed! We must #stayontarget and #backthebarge! 5 days to and 689 backers still needed. Remember when you #backthebarge you also #backtheyak and score what will once again become one of the most collectible Star Wars 3.75” figures in YakFace. I have seen people say that this figure will be worth $300 in a couple of years. Pretty sure it will be worth that as soon as the figure is released... This is a once in a generation (or two) offering and if you are in a place to be a part of this you should.
