Oh, wait, 39 might also be nice with Good Omens. Whatever you want!
Prompt: What color do you like better?
Here’s some husbands for this prompt, gonna go with book versions this time.
(I know people who react to this fact like Crowley does and it makes me laugh)
“What color do you like better?”
Crowley tilted his head back against the back of the couch, looking at the angel who was standing in his flat’s kitchen, holding up two bottles of wine.
“Huh?” He asked, confused. He hadn’t heard the question, having been distracted with his television.
Aziraphale rolled his eyes, holding up the bottles. “What color do you like better? The meal I ordered can work with either red or white, it won’t affect the taste when doing a pallet cleanse between bites, but do you have a preference for our drinks tonight?”
Crowley slowly blinked, taking in what was said. “What do you mean by ‘pallet cleanse’, angel?”
“You take sips of wine between bites so that the taste on your tongue isn’t affected by the consumption of more food. It refreshes to taste each time.”
This sounded wrong the Crowley, but then again, he didn’t eat often when he was drinking, usually letting Aziraphale do that. “Sounds fake, but okay? I guess go with the white, we had red last time.”
“How does...” Aziraphale raised an eyebrow. “How does that sound fake? That’s one of the reasons why certain wines are paired with certain dishes, specifically meats and sauces!”
“Bullshit, that’s gotta be some left over fancy shit from your gentleman days!”
“It’s true! Red meat and sauces pair well with red wine, white with white meat and sauces! And a nice rose works well with sweets!”
Crowley continued to look at Aziraphale like he was speaking nonsense before he just shrugged. “Alright, whatever you say, angel.” He grinned, hearing a scoff from the other man-shaped being as he returned to the kitchen to get some glasses.
