Well, apparently my cyanotype frame is a desirable basking spot for blue tongue lizards. I had it out exposing a print yesterday, and found this little baby checking out the frame,

And I just went out the back to check on today’s print, and found this adult supervising the frame on the step above

We’ve been seeing our adult male out and about this year, but it’s the first time we’ve seen either of these two, so I’m very happy.

(The print the bebbeh was watching turned out great, but today’s was a wash - obviously closer lizard supervision is the way to go

He knows that I'm watching him and now he's watching me watch him. I love the Steller's Jays. They visit me almost every day. They make me very happy when they stay and hang out for a while. I keep my bird feeder full so they know they're welcome here.

Hummingbird moth doing the hummer thing. Found these pics I took a couple years ago. Usually I can’t catch them for photos. Can’t remember the name of the flower it’s visiting. :(  @asgardian--angels

Have you ever found a leaf with a cluster of butterfly eggs on it in December?? I found this to be an exciting discovery!!
