Remember when I couldn’t stop buying outdoor throw pillows?
After I made my previous post this afternoon I made the conscious decision to get up and be productive (I KNOW - I didn’t have to do anything but I did something anyway! Waaaah?!). I changed out of my super comfy house clothes and into my gym clothes, thew a load of laundry in the washer then went outside to my backyard. I put my new registration stickers on my car and dug around in the garage until I found a broom. I then started sweeping my deck since it was completely riddled with debris from the storm last week. (I totally had a flasback to kindergarten where I played house and swept my pretend stoop - feels pretty cool to be grown up and sweeping for real!)
I then went around my yard and picked up all the fallen branches from the trees. So.many.branches. I reorganized the deck since it was recently repaired and they moved everything around - I only had a few minor encounters with spiders. Afterwards, I pulled the lawnmower out of the garage and got mowing since I hadn’t been able to do so all weekend due to it raining every day and the internet said I couldn’t mow wet lawn. Took me about two hours to do everything. Gotta say, I’m feeling much happier with the state of my yard now. Watch, it’s totally going to storm now and rain down even more branches and seed pods.
Grocery shopping with the husband happened next which was delightful as always followed by my weekly phone chat with the parental units before making dinner. Dinner tonight was, you guessed it - pizza! This was Kevin’s request and since I can now make this without even glancing at the recipe I was fine with it. He also requested KetoConnect’s broccoli cheese soup, which was surprisingly easy to make (and tasty to boot!). I originally protested at not needing a pizza AND soup but since I was weighing in today for the dietbet I figured this was my last chance all month to eat without caring (too much).
I was more than surprised when I actually punched the numbers into MFP and saw that I still had a few calories leftover AND that I pretty much nailed my macros (specifically the carbs). Granted, that was thanks to all the running around I did today but still, not nearly as upset with myself as I expected to be.
After one failed attempt to submit my initial weigh-in for dietbet my second try was accepted so we’re officially off to the races!
