You can make tasty pizza dough at home and enjoy the unique taste of grilled pizza in your own backyard. This recipe is great for pizza fans who want the taste of grilled meat.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups warm water 110F/45C. 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast. 1 teaspoon granulated sugar. 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 1/2 teaspoons salt. 1/2 cup pizza sauce. 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. Your favorite pizza toppings e.g., pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers.
Instructions: In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Form it into a ball. Place the dough ball in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size. Preheat your grill to high heat around 500F/260C and oil the grates. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two equal portions for two pizzas. Roll out each portion into a 12-inch round pizza crust on a floured surface. Carefully transfer the pizza dough to the hot grill. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until it's lightly charred and has grill marks. Remove the grilled pizza crust from the grill and let it cool slightly. Spread pizza sauce over each crust, leaving a border for the crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and add your favorite toppings. Return the pizzas to the grill, close the lid, and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, and the crust is crispy. Remove the grilled pizzas from the grill, slice, and serve hot.
