By theory, I’m starting to think these hardcore Raimi fanboys don’t actually care about what’s “comic book accurate” or have read a damn comic book in their life. Judging by their superiority complex, I think they only enjoy the Raimi movies, and get hissy over the other ones, because it feeds their fragile masculinity.
(Raimi) Mary Jane is the helpless damsel who’s entire character is based around being the love interest of the strong and powerful hero. (Webb) Gwen and (MCU) MJ are love interests as well, but are also their own characters. They be mad at Andrew and Tom’s Spider-Man for drinking their daily dose of Respect Women Juice™️. XD
