I would do anything for a computer that could handle the game.

problem: bluetooth mouse stopped working in the middle of a game of solitaire! time to look for solutions on the internet.

first: "try fucking with ur bluetooth settings!!" no dice, it says it's "paired" but the bluetooth is "turned off" (author's note: no it Was Not.)

next: "oopsies, maybe ur drivers r bad?? see if windows needs a update!!! ♡" oh hey look at that i guess it does! let's update it then.

but: "ruh roh!! windows did a fucky-wucky!!!! can't finish update, maybe try searching the internet for this reason why: *string of numbers and letters*" ...okay, let's look that up. oh, it says it's something about not being able to download the update packet? that's weird. it said it downloaded 100% of the update, but it keeps stalling out at 20% through installing it. and restarting my computer doesn't help. um. it says here i can manually download and install the update though? let's try that?

and then: the update i downloaded won't manually install either. i don't know why.

to recap: my mouse stopped working and my computer says it's the bluetooth, but i can't fuck with my bluetooth settings because windows isn't updated all the way, and when i try to update it, it can't for Some Reason.

and so: apoplectic rage (exacerbated by the fact that this whole time i've been troubleshooting this horseshit i've had to alternate between using my keyboard and my spare mouse, the Shittiest Mouse in the Universe, to navigate around my computer/the internet)

solution: go to the store and buy a new, usb fucking god damn mouse
