went to physical therapy today and learned that the reason my feet hurt so bad is actually due in part to my having stopped working shitty grueling food service and retail jobs five years ago. fucking bullshit clown logic world

#you see even though i was on my feet all day when i was working i was– crucially– wearing shoes #usually with cushioned inserts that also supported my arches #now that i've been barefoot at home for five years my arches no longer have that daily support #and that combined with a hormone released during my pregnancy that caused my body's connective tissue to relax has made my arches flatten #so i guess here's your reminder that reproductive labor is very much still labor #and it'll fuck your body up just as bad as any other job if you're not careful

i need to drink more water but i'm bad at remembering to do it so i set alarms on my phone but i kept silencing them without drinking any water so then i got out my old tamagotchis and put fresh batteries in them and strapped them to my water bottle so i'd have to physically interact with it in order to check on them and that's. that's actually been working

#i like the yellow one best #because the game you play with it to increase its happiness meter is easier than the others' games #the mermaid colored one has the classic 'guess which way i'm gonna look' game #which i hate because it's just random chance #the evangelion one has two evangelion themed mini games which are actually pretty fun #but also a bit finicky and time consuming #the yellow one has 'high card low card' and that's the best of both worlds #anyway anyone here ever play the gameboy tamagotchi game? best pet sim ever; absolutely peerless

Hi! Could you please give us a timeline of what Ydwin was doing? Like what's her age, when did she leave the Lands, how long was she in Vailian republics?? I assume she's around Vatnir's age but she doesn't really age because of her fampyric condition right??

Unfortunately, I can't. It's been too long since I worked on Pillars and I don't have access to the Obsidian documentation. The wiki might have the answers you're looking for. If I had to guess, she's the elven equivalent of being in her late early/mid thirties to Vatnir's early/mid twenties. But truly that's a guess based on half remembered work from almost a decade ago.

If I recall correctly, though, her condition was relatively new, a fairly recent experiment. She hadn't really begun to see the potential long term consequences (which is what my proposed potential companion quest would have focused on).
