Bad Work Day

Pairing: Eddie Munson x Reader Summary: You had a bad day at work. Thankfully you have Eddie Authors Note: I may or may not have a bad day at work and just wanted someone to hug me

Eddie would be the best boyfriend after having a shitty day at work. Everything went wrong. You walked in and the person who did the closing shift last night had left everything for you to do. So you had to play catch-up all morning

You'd get home to the trailer and mumble a tiny 'hello' to your curly-haired boyfriend. You'd head straight to the bedroom and change out of your work clothes and into some comfy ones. You'd crawl under the covers and the fluffy blanket you share with him. You'd lay there in the dark until the door would open and close. You'd hear the shuffle of feet and clothes dropping to the floor

Eddie would crawl under the covers with you and wrap an arm around your waist burying his head into your shoulder and kissing you there

"Bad day?" He'd whisper

"The worst" You'd mumble

You would turn your body around to bury your face into his warm chest wrapping your arms around and holding him tightly. He'd wrap his arms around you gently stroking your hair and lulling you to sleep

"Sleep baby, I'm right here" He'd murmur as you felt the darkness overtake you and you fell into a peaceful sleep

No thoughts about your work day. Just thoughts about how much in moments like this you genuinely love Eddie. He'd never ask you what happened if you had a bad day because you would eventually tell him. Either once you'd calmed down or woken up from your sleep. And he would always be there listening and comforting you

Just got pushed to panic attack level because I argued back with someone at work about politics.

I have asked her in the past to not talk to me about this stuff.

She was arguing that statues shouldn’t be allowed to be torn down, even if they are of actual fucking slave traders etc because (and I quote) “he donated a lot of his money to good causes”. At the hands of how many lives?

She believes Churchill should be celebrated because “well all politicians have dirt on their hands.” - apparently he had nothing to do with anything regarding how the British have treated Ireland.

Has argued that poor people shouldn’t spend their money on anything more than necessities (also got on the property ladder in her 20’s when you could outright buy a house for £26,000).

Has said that obesity has nothing to do with capitalism or mental health or anything. No it’s entirely because people are just lazy 😊

I don’t think it’s much to ask - don’t talk to me about politics. Especially when that is your outlook on the world.
