The friendships that hurt the most are those that drifted off so slowly, you didn’t even notice until it was too late. I took it for granted, I know. And you’ve changed and so have I. But the candy bridge we built, it was so good. And maybe I’ve been too selfish, been hoarding all that sweetness for later, until I realise that they’ve all kind of expired and there’s nothing left now. I’m sorry. I’m sorry I never realised how darn sweet this was, and how much I’ve became reliant on it, and how much you were giving. But I’m learning, and now I don’t have the ingredients. Can you just give me another chance?

Hello, I'm white and I was wondering if it is okay for me to call black people my brothers and sisters? For example if I was to say "I support my black brothers and sisters". I really don't want anyone to get mad at me if I say something along those lines. Thanks!

You’ll definitely be wanting to tread very carefully; it’s great to be supportive, but unless you are yourself black, you can’t count yourself among their “brothers and sisters”.Let’s make an analogy; it’s going to be rough and I’ll do my best to be sensitive, so let’s go. Say for instance you’re at a rally with wounded soldiers and sufferers of PTSD for veterans causes; you can support them and their goals, but you can’t be like “I support my fellow wounded veterans with shell-shock” if you’ve never been to war. You’ll get, at best, admonishing gazes. Racial issues are always very sensitive, but you can 100% be supportive of the black community during their struggles in Ferguson against the police right now, but you aren't a “brother or a sister”.- Engineer Dave
