I love BADASS!Bones because in the stories I write BADASS!Bones it always comes down to him beating the living crap out of Jim in combat class and that's just so awesome! X'D

Tha Academy!AU in which Bones is Jim's hand-to-hand combat teacher but still a student and doctor

and when they meet in the gym for the first class Bones is all like: "Okay kids; you think you can fight? You think you know shit about fighting? Forget ALL of it, you know nothing 'bout fighting." 

and Jim is like: "Haha, I know everything about fighting. I could fight you right here and I would win." to Bones because Bones it at least ten years older and looks like a normal person

and then they fight and Bones beats the shit out of Jim who gives up when Bones holds him to the ground

and tells him after the fight: "You're tough kid but just as stupid." and to everybody: "Because the first rule in fighting is: Never underestimate your opponent."

and as times carries on Jim gets to understand fighting and one evening when Jim did a little bit more work out he sees Bones running on the field, goes out to watch him

and when Bones is done with running he walks up to Jim who sat down on one of the benches and they're both silent while Bones catches his breath

and then Jim: "How does it come that someone like you entered Starfleet?"

and Bones: "My goddamn ex-wife got the whole damn planet in the divorce, I couldn't go anywhere else."

and Jim grins at Bones and laughs but Bones is dead serious and that only makes Jim laugh harder

and Bones asks: "And you, kid? What did Pike do to convince you to enlist in Starfleet?"

and Jim: "He dared me to do better then my father." and now Bones smiles 

and three years later Jim gets the goddamn Enterprise and Bones is his CMO~
