Fake - My first ever BL, that still holds a special place in my heart. Fake is pretty much a gay buddy-cop manga with more of a focus on the drama and action of being cops than the romance. You’d think the ~uke~ would forget his cop training every time things got hairy and every villain would be about molesting him but that is subverted well. Very little damseling and Ryu remains a badass. The OVA isn’t nearly as good. Some of the plot-lines are preposterous and stupid, and the seme can be a major creep. TW: Sexual assault, and violence.
Maiden Rose - This one is harder for me to recommend. Maiden Rose is set in psuedo WWII on the Axis side. The main characters are the beautiful emperor of Japan and his rough German right-hand man. The relationship between the main pair is...uncomfortable to say the least. TW: VERY EXPLICIT non-con
