BBQ Cheddar Burger- Black Horse Pub and Brewery, Clarksville, TN

This burger boasts- smoked cheddar, bbq sauce, bacon

This is a milestone for Panda’s Burger Blog! It’s our first burger not based in the Midwest! Hooray! Unfortunately the burger wasn’t very good, but hopefully this just first of many burgers from all over the U.S.

The burger- Before I start, I want to acknowledge that I again fell into the bbq burger trap. I have admitted many a time on this blog that bbq bacon burgers make for boring burgers, and I even have a vague recollection of saying I wouldn’t order one again. But I did. I convinced myself that this time it would be different. That it would be as delicious as I imagined. And I was wrong. Again. Obviously. So I make this declaration today, that I never again will order a bbq bacon burger. I could site the definition of insanity “Repeating the same process over and over...” yada, yada, yada. The point is, they keep disappointing me, and I’m over it. Take this burger. The patty was flavorless, though I will admit it was pretty close to my ideal thickness, the cheese was shredded for some reason, and the barbecue sauce had no finesse, and was just slathered on there. Sorry burger, you’re 0 for 3. But, like I said, I made the mistake of order a bbq bacon burger, so I’m not prepared to write of Black Horse entirely. I’m definitely willing try another burger the next time I’m in Clarksville.

The restaurant- It’s your typical bar and restaurant, and for all you Pokemon Goers, it’s a pokestop.

Final Thoughts- This is a bad burger. Sorry, Colin.
