The Blackstone Affair - books 1 and 2
Here’s another wannabe fifty shades inspired erotic series, with 2 problems (1) it lacks emotion so much, its not erotic, its porn (2) unlike the sexy Mr.Grey with his many shades, Mr.Blackstone comes in a single color- possessive Neanderthal Basic story - damsel in distress (brynne) with a dark, deep secret from her troubled teens possibly out to cause her trouble or maybe worse, meets her guardian angel (pun so intended) in a security expert who falls head over heels in love with her, and decides to take her physical security into his able hands (and other parts of his anatomy). My favorite part of it all - Mr.Blackstone is approached by her father to help protect her. And guess what kind of a picture of his lil girl the father sends to a stranger in another country - a nude portrait!! Dear author, Really?? Gag! Both books so far are simply filled with Blackstone’s possesiveness and Brynne’s willingness. No depth, no thrill and no story really. The backstories of both characters are so nauseatingly painful, it makes me want to puke rather than be sympathetic. Mr.Blackstone is definitely no vulnerable Mr.Grey. Make no mistake, this is a perpetually horny, over-possessive jerk who Brynne’s father should actually be protecting her from. Would I recommend reading this series - definitely not. You’re better off reading On Dublin Street or The Mighty Storm. And if you have a teenage daughter, do warn her against mr.Blackstone. he has serious trust issues. he is known to forget the name of the last woman he shagged, yet can’t handle his girlfriend buying coffee from the same shop as another male colleague. 1.5 /5 for both books so far in the series.they make the fifty shades books appear well written.
