Una de las emociones que más afecta a nuestro desarrollo es el miedo. La mayoría de las veces ni siquiera somos conscientes de que estamos sintiendo miedo. Nuestra mente disfraza esa emoción de muchas maneras, nos dice "tienes vergüenza", "te falta valor" o "eso no es así, estas equivocado". Pero realmente estamos sintiendo miedo. Miedo a no ser aceptados por los demás. Miedo a perder lo que tenemos. Miedo a no cumplir con nuestras propias expectativas. Miedo a morir y dejar este cuerpo. El Miedo es la emoción más antigua del hombre, junto con el Amor. Amor y Miedo son antagónicos, forman parte del principio de la dualidad. Cuando uno vive amando y dejándose amar en todo momento, no tiene miedo de perder a nadie. Cuando uno trabaja amando lo que hace no tiene miedo a no cumplir con sus propias expectativas. Cuando uno entiende que este cuerpo es pasaje y viaje y que seguirá viviendo nuestro interior: en recuerdos, lecciones, transgresiones, en otro cuerpo, en otro tiempo y en otro lugar, no tiene miedo a la muerte. El miedo nace cuando no amas la vida que estás creando. Medita. Cada vez que detectes esa emoción en tí, Medita. Se sincero contigo mismo y reconoce tu emoción. A week late... I am sorry Brett. 8th December would have been Brett's 65th birthday. Most years I'd go over to his place on Cowper rd. for his birthday and we'd be joined by Frankie Stein ( no really ) , Junior Tomlin and other ner'do'wells to celebrate with Brett. Some years it'd just be me and Brett and I'd tke him out for a curry. He'd talk about his writing and ideas he had. We'd talk about fashion, and how he modelled once for Vivienne Westwood when he was in art school. We'd go back to his and he'd play memtl mixtapes and Bowie all night. I miss Brett every day, and it always heartens me to see his art shared, and enjoyed by others. He did so much, in a relatively short career, cut short by illness. I have many favourites, but my absolute favourite was Bad Company in 2000ad. When it came out, it blew my tiny teen mind!!! ( already high from seeing Platoon) What was your favourite? I hope Brett is up there somewhere in his silk Thai suit and brothel creepers playing some Bowie and painting some Thrill Power. Thanks Brett...
