👀 What is the first physical feature people notice when they see your OC? Why?

I'll absolutely answer for both! Em is first.

It's her lack of height. It's her distinguishing feature besides the bun in her hair. Em is pretty small, but she has a lot of fire to make up for it. The second one is her bun. It's almost always messy, and hair is pretty much always in her face/swaying from her head. It's very pretty no matter how hastily she throws it up, and it's off her neck so she doesn't feel overheated.

For Mac, I would say it's his expression. Yes, he's almost always grumpy, or yeah, he seems sort of intimidating (his expression sort of makes up for the fact that he's a skinny string bean) to make it seem like doesn't take any crap from anyone for his business. The second is his eyes, and NOT cause I'm a hopeless romantic and love his eyes. But let's be real. His eyes are sharp, they're a dark blue, and they make him seem younger than he is. Combine that with his curly hair as it gets longer, and you'll wonder if he's really in his early twenties. But those eyes can see details that you might miss, and he doesn't miss much. A twitch of a smile, and he knows how to make it grow. Or a twitch in the corner of your eye, and he knows he struck a nerve with you.

Heyyo! Just a question, what do you use as substrate for your crestie? The breeder I got mine from said to just keep a paper towel at the bottom instead of substrate but I'm not entirely sure if this is healthy for them

I have a bioactive set up so it is a mix of organic topsoil, bio mix from a guy, and peat (you can just use organic topsoil with some peat and organics mixed in)

Plenty of people use eco earth and cocofibre, but I am a fan of the bioactive mix. 

It’s also good to top it off with leaf litter - provides enrichment and they are less likely to eat dirt lol

Paper towel is a good option for juveniles/wee babies since they are more likely to ingest substrate I think. I just found paper towel and reptile carpet a pain in the butt for cleaning. But the proper soil mix is perfectly fine for older juveniles and adults!
