Growing up with money meant that Roman was pretty much handed a lot as a child. However, he wasn’t spoiled, no in the Clarington household you were meant to work. There was no slacking off, and anything but perfection was strongly looked down on, or even punished. For Roman, he thrived on this. He was always pushing himself harder, further. He excelled in school, and in sports. He started playing football before he could properly say “field goal” and he never quit.
Going through school with money, good grades, and being a pretty great athlete meant that he didn’t have to try too hard to make friends, though he did, because he tried hard at everything. He became very charismatic, and could charm almost anyone. It wasn’t hard to see why his father was always so proud of the boy. Still, he somehow did manage to remain humble. He was charming, but he was never arrogant. His mother insisted on manners, and respect, and they were lessons that he took very seriously.
When it came time for college, he had a pick of choices, and decided to major in Business and Hospitality. He had high hopes to one day own his own hotel, but knew that he’d have to start at the bottom and work his way up. So he began working at the front desk of a near by hotel while taking classes, and eventually, after graduating, with high honors, he was promoted to manager. It’s been almost 9 years, and he’s worked his way up incredibly high, even if it is a two hour drive each way every day to stay at the hotel where he started.
Last year he was promoted to a Senior VP of Operations of the hotel he’d worked at for almost a decade now. Which was when he was approached by a man named Avi, a man he’d known around the hotel as a guest before, but had never really known what he did to afford to stay so often. Avi explained the business he ran, an escort business. He was looking for a partner, and Roman’s access to the hotel made him perfect for it. Roman was generally a pretty straight shooter, but the idea of making some extra cash to save up and eventually break out into his own business, well it was too tempting to pass up.
He makes sure everything is very discreet. If dates come to the hotel, they check in as a couple, and there is always someone in a nearby room, with a key card, in case of emergencies. He knows it’s not always a safe business, but he does what he can to protect those who work for him.
As far as day to day, you can find Roman in business attire, suit pants and button ups, a tie, his hair always done just right. But on the weekends, he’s a bit more relaxed, jeans and t shirts.
