I'm just super confused because I remember the big push for "The A in LGBTQIA+ Stands for Asexual!" And I remember the big rush of positivity for aces and then suddenly there was a big shift of "Aces don't belong in the LGBT community" and suddenly I was like?? uh? Where did this come from?? And most people are so nasty about it
yes !!! i joined tumblr around that time and i didnt even know i was asexual for awhile until i knew what it meant and i was like oh!!! thats me !!! and that shift came in a bit after and i was so confused and hurt by it bc?? with how long i spent hating myself trying to figure out who i was and what was wrong with me, now suddenly its not real? :///// before i was super happy finding out asexuality was a thing and now im like.. cool but... also.... not cool.. agh confusing
