my contribution to the fandom on this day (I know y’all haven’t seen me in, like, a year), at least my verse-adjacent:
Baldwin is aggravated by St Valentine’s Day. He knows very well what it’s all about these days (consumerism), plus he’s about 20 to 27% sure he might have met the actual Valentine back in the day, and the guy pissed him off. So. Not a fan.
Eva doesn’t even notice as it comes and goes. She could care less but she can’t be bothered. She finds it amusing, though, that Baldwin thinks he may have met the guy, because “You claim you don’t care for the holiday but you go around telling people you’ve met the real deal? Sounds mighty hypocritic, if you ask me.” (Baldwin doesn’t go around telling people. He mentioned it in Eva’s presence once, and he’s been paying for it ever since.)
