{ ✯ } — normality, love, family, freedom; these were the thoughts that clouded the young demon’s mind at four in the afternoon. these, however, were not the thoughts that she wanted in her mind. she was content with her life despite it being feeling chained to the king of hell. she never quite understood why these thoughts had crossed her mind; maybe because she was glancing at a happy couple with their child — they looked so happy and somehow, deep down, she wanted it. ❝ life can be so unfair. ❞ she blurted out before slapping her mouth with her hand, eyes widened as she glanced around in a frantic manner; he had ears everywhere and the last thing she needed was another week of punishment. thankfully, the only one around was a young female who seemed a little preoccupied with whatever was written on her notebook. it was then that yujin began to wonder if the female next to her was just as happy as the family that she saw or was she, just like her, miserable in some ways.
Her hands moved senselessly across the page; sketches these days consisted of people, not designs, and this bothered her greatly. She didn't have a particular affinity for sympathy and empathy and all the emotions she considered to be total bullshit and useless, and her art seemed to reflect the contrary. How annoying. Now her pages were graced with roughly-drawn faces of happiness -- an emotion Gabbana usually obtained through the company of her beloved brother -- and little notes that came in illegible handwriting. "Yeah, well, that's life for you," Gabanna commented off-handedly at the statement she heard, lead stalling over paper as she looked up again, and assess the stranger's features, wondering why the hell anyone would point out something so obvious, and appear so distraught over it. "Were you raised in a padded white room or something? Everyone knows life is unfair. Get over it."
