can do on the spot impressions of: Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg, Sue Vertue, Tom Stoppard etc.

can talk about Meryl Streep for 3-4 minutes

not a natural beauty, he said

has a very wide vocabulary (can't get a dictionary this man keeps talking and talking and i want to listen)

part otter and something vaguely attractive

when someone laughs when he didn't mean to be funny or someone says "What?" when he describes himself an OLD SOUL, politely pauses and explains his meaning

glad to have the maturity to face the attention on him in his mid or late 30s

sweet enough to ask the interviewer if he has a family when the interviewer told him about going into his profile and what the media thinks about Benedict

can't remember the question coz suddenly distracted by some of his wonderful thoughts

the room suddenly felt hot, he asks to turn on the aircon (oh cmon ben it's just that you are HOT)

This was the self-deprecating response of Benedict Cumberbatch, one of Britain’s most talented and popular young actors, to my assertion that he feels sort of "timeless" as an actor. We spoke last Thursday at The Standard High Line in New York for the first installment of "In Conversation," an exciting new series on which BAFTA and The Hollywood Reporter are partnering to provide artists with a forum through which they can discuss their creative processes in depth.
