Oh boy, how the HELL do you translate the word “Kyoukasuigetsu” itself, I literally don’t fucking know. In the most literal sense it means “Flowers Reflected on the Mirror, Moon Reflected on the Water”. Basically it’s an idiom for something that can be conceptualized but can’t be realized, something that can be seen but can’t be obtained, much like lunging at the moon reflected on the water would result in you getting soaked instead of actually reaching the moon itself. So yeah, basically, I just wrote down whatever 🤷‍♀️

Hey everyone, this is an original character song by Bafuko, a virtual youtuber that I’ve been watching a lot throughout the past year, who just so happens to be on her birthday this very day. Her real self is a legit published mangaka (officially in charge of a Gabriel Dropout spin-off) and I originally found out about her because Namori (author of Yuruyuri) retweeted her, so idk maybe she was an assistant for them and they’ve stayed friends, her character designs certainly look very namori-esque. She usually streams herself either drawing or playing videogames, so basically what every vtuber does, not that the genre has that much variety. I’m actually rather surprised she got this song at all given she usually gets like 130~ viewers at most when streaming lol.

Anyway, I really liked her song! I feel like it perfectly conveys the original idea for her character, while also briefly acknowledging the way she’s actually evolved. She started off her channel with a rather neat and positive image but her “gremlin-ness” has really broken through her mask as ranked battles in Smash Bros have really broken her image and sanity.
