Travel Lightly: Our 5 Best Packing Tips
I love traveling. In fact, I love it so much that I've often got my luggage out and open and waiting days before the actual packing needs to be done. But, as much as I love packing, I hate having a lot of luggage. Even in the days before baggage check fees, I rarely checked luggage. Here are my best tips on how to pack lightly and still look good when you get there.
• You do not need to wear something different everyday, you do need to be comfortable and appropriate: With that in mind, I use a packing formula: 3 bottoms for 1 week, 3 tops per bottom, 5 bottoms for 2 weeks, deduct 1 top and 1 bottom for each dress. • If you are going sightseeing or to a city, always, even in the heat of the summer, bring a cardigan (women) or a dinner jacket (men). Not every place in the world is as informal as the States. • Unless you are going to Antarctica or camping, there will be stores where you are going and you can always get what you need or forgot there. Apart from contact lenses or prescription medicine, you will be able to buy it at your destination. And, if you're in a foreign country, the replacement product will likely be more interesting than what you're used to. • Forget the pack flat or roll debate. Bundling is best: I used to roll my clothes until Gregory discovered this method. Not only is it a space saver, it is genius at keeping your clothes from wrinkling. • Pack one space saver bag: Just in case you buy a lot while you're away, the space bag may help you avoid having to buy an extra piece of luggage to bring it all back in.

Farewells and my Road Trip Down to Mollymook
The time has come where I had to move down south. My bag was packed then unpacked as Jennie decided to climb into it in the hope that I would not notice my huge pile of clothes laying around the bag. Either way I said my farewells to my Mum, Tim and Jennie and at 3:00am Darren and I begun our journey down south.
Being sleep deprived I tried to get some Zzzzz… but the head banging Metal we were listening to for the drive down definitely prevented me from doing so. So I stayed up for the 13 hour trip down to Mollymook and lets say. Holy shit, what a beautiful part of the country it is. The new year started of absolutely amazing and only a month into the year I am on a personal journey, doing the things I love doing. This will be the greatest year of my life.

Update #2
Another week has gone by and I'm the second update for donators/supporters! I aptly had a curry this evening at it was yummy! Although my Wisdom Tooth pain is making eating a chore.
Because my Dad was in Kenya, he decided to get some US Dollars for me to change into Rupees when I'm India; and they smell like Monopoly money! $150 dollars is around £90 or 9000 rupees.
I decided not to do car washing because I've got a Spanish speaking exam to revise for and I'm dreading it so much.
So this week wasn't particularly eventful other than the dollars, breaking through 40 days to go and general refreshing of the 'World Challenge' hashtag on Instagram.
Next week however is full of stuff to do with the expedition! I have my final jab (Rabies) on Tuesday (thank God), car washing maybe on Saturday depending on what I feel like, later on the Saturday I'll be buying my final few bits left on the kit list and to top it all off, on Sunday - it will be the last bag pack for the trip!
So yeah, pretty exciting and the final preparations are underway now as there is just over a month left to go! I probably won't post until next Sunday, so I hope you'll check back then!
Thanks,
James :)
Fund raising at Sainsbury's Street, 21-22 December 2013
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Leaders, parents and carers spent the weekend before Christmas packing shoppers' bags at Sainsbury's in Street.
We raised an astonishing £1,481.23 over the two days, which we will put towards purchase of tents for the Group.
We are extremely grateful to the leaders, parents, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who gave their time to help.
Many thanks to Hannah and Luke at Sainsbury’s, Street who very kindly allowed the Group to work with them.
Special thanks to our Treasurer, Darren Cross, who organised this fund raising event and was there for both days packing.
