Haruki Ishida is is a very distant and generally anti-social person. He has a hard time around people and has difficulties communicating with them. He's not shy, just has little experience interacting with people. He often refers to others as "humans" rather than using their names.
Nothing normal seems to interest him. The only thing he ever shows an interest towards is the supernatural. As the Ultimate Supernatural Enthusiast, his interest toward the topic is... rather extreme. It's his dream to one day date a monster or other supernatural being if at all possible.
Haruki doesn't care for others. He fails to fully understand people and just doesn't feel as if he can relate to them. It's hard to get him to change his mind on anything. Once he has a viewpoint he sticks with it for as long as possible. Haruki can appear unnecessarily ominous at times due to his rather blunt nature, especially considering his rather soft voice.
Haruki doesn't completely see himself as human. He thinks that he doesn't have control over his own actions or really anything that goes on around him. He mostly just sees himself as a "puppet" and that the actions he makes are purely "the puppeteer's" doings. He doesn't elaborate what he means in a way others can comprehend. Haruki doesn't ever take blame for his actions as he never sees them as his own.
