It just dawn on me … the three main kings from The Hobbit, have now come out as gay … Like Evans (Bard), Lee Pace (Thranduil), and Richard Armitage (Thorin).
Life really can imitate (Slashy) Art.

“If I declare who I am and my sexuality, then I’m saying it’s fixed, and I don’t know that,” the actor noted.
Not surprised AT ALL … but boy does this make BAGGINSHIELD just that bit more tasty !!
BAGGINSHIELD, (Greek) SATYR AND FAUN
Imagine a story where Thorin and Bilbo are a Satyr and Faun, but Thorin is a Greek Satyr (Horse hindquarters, Horse tail and Ears, beard), while Bilbo is a Greek Faun (Goat Hindquarters, Gait ears and horns).
(we can thank the Romans for mashing Satyrs and Fauns up).
Thorin is rescued by Bilbo, which angers Thorin because Fauns are seen as weak and stupid, but it’s actually very brave of Bilbo because Fauns believe Satyrs are bestial and savage - why, they even eat humans alive! (ps - they don’t)
Begrudgingly, they come to understand the other and realize that thier deeply held beliefs are nothing but misconceptions and lies passed down through the generations.
Oh yes, and they each play wind instruments - Thorin plays a long recorder, while Bilbo plays, naturally, a Pan Pipe. Together, they make beautiful music together.
