Anyway take this bagginshield I don’t think there is enough fanart of Thorin being kissed and he’s a pretty princess, someone (Bilbo) should kiss that guy! Not to worry I shall do it myself!

That was how Bilbo knew.

Before the journey, at Bag End, Bilbo noticed that, whenever Thorin talked of Erebor and of losing his home, Thorin’s eyes showed all the pain and heartache in his eyes. He saw the same sadness whenever anyone talked of Erebor or that Thorin’s quest would fail, the pain dimmed Thorin’s eyes once again. Then, after the mountain was reclaimed and everyone was safe and happy, Bilbo saw the sadness return to Thorin’s eyes whenever Bilbo or anyone else talked of Bilbo leaving and returning to the Shire. No matter how much Thorin said he understood and respected Bilbo’s decision, he could not hide his pain and heartache of losing Bilbo.

That was how Bilbo knew Thorin loved him … and Bilbo chose to stay. In all their years together, Bilbo never saw such heartache and pain in Thorin’s eyes again.

Jeez, maybe I should write a fic about this ….

Then again - imagine Eridians finally visiting Earth and come out of their ship, and declare, “HELLO, GRACE FRIENDS, EXCLAMATION”

Imagine Grace teaching Rocky to swear, but unintentionally. Like …

“Rocky makes low rumble”

Grace knows something is off “What’s the matter, buddy?”

“Need word, statement.”

“For what?”

“For something annoying that fail.”

Grace shrugs. “Shit.”

“Shit.”

Then later it ….

“Rocky makes lower grumble” then says “Need new word, statement.”

“What word?”

“Shit not enough.”

“Oh. Well … probably, fuck.”

“Rocky like.”

AND, it would go from there until one day, Rocky just blurts out …

“Damn it. This Mother fucking piece of shit not working, exclamation. This is shit, statement.”

And Grace will just stand there thinking, Well, shit.

okay so in the book when bilbo was able to break out the dwarves from the elvenking's dungeon, thorin said something about how they will be for ever at bilbo's service. and i think about how erebor did not disclose bilbo's identity and whereabouts to the servant of sauron, how some dwarves helped him in his 111th birthday, and how when some dwarves passed by the shire they looked on the place with wonder and gratitude for there was the hobbit who helped the dwarves restore erebor
