The old guy hadn't been kidding when he said that a shit tone of pirates were currently in Sabaody, though he guessed it made sense if this was the last place everyone would gather before finding a way below the sea to Fishman Island. The redline was a real pain in the ass....as was finding a bar apparently.

Honestly there should be one around here.

Rounding a corner he paused, gaze flicking over the street before it unintentionally locked with someone else's. Someone who happened to be standing pretty much beside him. It was their eyes that had him pausing for a moment, started slightly by the pure whiteness of them for a moment before asking simply. "Know where the bar is?"

snapdragon :   is your muse merciful ? why or why not ?

It's entirely situational and dependent on if it's purpose-related or personal. One could view Mortem sparing someone's life as a merciful act just as easily as they could a merciless one, depending on the context. And to her, the context always matters. Is there potential left to be gained, to bloom into the world? Which choice will allow that to happen? If there's none, she has no issue ending the life of someone without potential. That, to her, is a mercy despite how merciless the act truly is.

salvia :   is your muse possessive over people or things that matter a lot to them ? how do they express that possessiveness ,   or lack thereof ?

Typically, no. Mortem being possessive is very rare to happen, even in her chaos swings. She wasn't raised in a culture that claimed anything outside of their own selves and agency. Therefore, being possessive is something that just... doesn't really occur. Either consciously or subconsciously. But that's been talked about in the other ask so let's entertain the idea of when it does occur.

It depends on the relationship she has with another. Platonic relationships she's more alert with, and it's generally geared towards potential conflict or if she can see something unfolding unpleasantly. Usually Mortem would allow another to experience the positives and negatives but when she's possessive she's more likely to navigate another around the negatives - or, the other extreme, navigate them throw it if it's necessary. If it's more intimate than that she'll do subtle physical actions; a hand on their thigh, touch them in some manner. The little reminders to either them or another. If it's an enemy she is possessive over, it's far crueler and ultimately reminded through violence. And if it's someone who has forfeited their freedom to her in full, it's whatever the hell she wants.

sage :   what is your muse’s legacy ? what do they want to be remembered for   &   what might they actually be remembered for ?

I didn't really touch on what Mortem would want to be remembered for. That's mainly because in her story, witches don't care to be remembered for anything. They don't exist to be memorialized in any capacity.

If she's going to be remembered for anything, she's going to leave it in the hands of all she leaves behind. Let their perception judge her individually. If others view her as a monster, they aren't wrong. If they view her in a positive light, they aren't wrong. It just means she existed as she was supposed to, as whatever was necessary.

Being in this crowd was further proof that he had managed to put on more height, now comfortably able to navigate through rather than being the one jostled around. But it meant little once he had actually been able to experience the world firsthand, for he was far from being the tallest around, senses sharpened to this fact as a passerby jostled him particularly hard, enough to disrupt the Captain’s balance. With a small, “oop,” emitted, he took a correcting step only to bump into someone else, someone much taller than himself with a lithe frame, ashen skin, and a mop of dark hair. Upon doing so, Coby backed off a couple steps, hands raised in a peaceful but helpless gesture.

“Already perished once before.  .  .” Thatch gave a the stranger’s warning a hard, hefty sigh. Concern was appreciated, whether or not it was genuine. “I’m not going to ask you to take responsibility, but there’s always a chance that I won’t die again if you help me.”

He loosely held the two blades he adored using in combat and gave a lazy shrug. “This doesn’t have to turn into a fight between us. But if it does, at least give me the honor of seeing my killer face-to-face. Last guy stabbed in the back. Literally.”
