Reggie was born in Austin, TX to an American mother and French father, but moved to Paris at 13 to live with her Gigi to continue her racing career.
Caught the eye of Michael Schumacher who had contemplated mentoring her alongside his son Mick, who competed against her in karting. Sebastian Vettel ended up approaching her instead.
She remains close friends with Mick Schumacher.
Her younger sister Stevie, who showed deep interest in Reggie’s racing career but no interest in driving, became her race engineer in 2021.
Reggie became a 3x Formula 3 champion and 2x Formula 2 champion, catching the attention of Susie Wolff and Toto Wolff by extension.
She joined F1 in 2023 for Mclaren, making it the youngest team on the grid and her the first female driver of the modern era.
Reggie became inseparable from Lando (the pair was nicknamed the Chaos Kids by the rest of the grid). By proxy, she also became very close friends with Daniel, Max, and Carlos.
Her cheerful attitude and wicked sense of humor made her a favorite amongst drivers and fans.
She took her first podium as a rookie at the Miami GP, coming in P3, and also took P2 at COTA that same season. Her father invited the whole grid to Reggie's childhood home for barbecue to celebrate.
Shortly after the US Grand Prix, she signed a 5 year contract with Mercedes.
Though they were always friendly, once they became teammates Lewis became like an older brother to her.
After the death of her father at the end of 2023, she views the grid as her chosen family.
I’ve been contemplating discontinuing the Backwards and in Heels series and just replacing it with some f1xdriver!reader stuff. I can’t really decide tbh. Is that series something anyone is actually invested in at this point or should I save it for another time?
Also I'm still working on another chapter for it regardless so whatever happens hopefully that will still get posted
