Jacob’s accents are absolutely masterful. I’m completely in awe. Sam’s Lestat accent is a bit eccentric? But I’ll go with it. Lestat himself describes his own English as a strange mix of influences. Bailey’s… I don’t know what she was doing but she legitimately took me out of the story several times. Which is really rare for me.
Jacob's accent work / voice work generally is truly so incredible, and the way he can weave between the NOLA accent and the cosmopolitan, Baldwin-inspired affect is just perfection. He's so talented, and I really hope he gets his flowers for this show at some point (even though he should've gotten them already). And Sam's - - yeah, haha. I like it, and I think it's consistent and that eccentric works for Lestat, but after reading that the Auvergne dialect was specifically unintelligble in this period of history, I especially like it, haha.
Bailey's so young, so I cut her a lot of slack, honestly, and I think her and Delainey are both so talented that I can overlook accent slips. Like I said! It doesn't bother me all that much if the actors are delivering otherwise, haha.
