i went on a bit of a dubbing quest and have come back with this interesting piece of information.
in the ukrainian dub, baileywick seems to always address cedric with “ви,” which is the formal way to say “you,” rather than the informal “ти.” this is especially intriguing to me because, in return, cedric only addresses baileywick informally, despite the fact that the latter’s seniority calls for the formal form.
“ти” can be substituted for “ви,” if the senior of the two agrees to it, but i highly doubt that they would ever come together on that. in my opinion, i feel as though baileywick uses the formal form because he feels its his duty as a steward to address every staff member with respect, while cedric’s informality is more-so based on his lukewarm standing with the steward.
however, the fun part of it all is that the usage of “ви” can also signify a lack of closeness with a person, so maybe that is also part of the reason that baileywick uses it for cedric.
