i know that a lot of spells call for either crystals (which can be pretty expensive) or items that you can only use once (foods, herbs, papers, etc) so i decided to just make a little list of things i use and re-use in spells.

wristwatches/pocket watches (for keeping track of time or staying on time)

keys (for either unlocking goals or seeking a deeper understanding of something)

coins - can be either real currency, like a penny, or fake, like an arcade token. (for good luck and good fortune)

devotional statues to gods/spirits/angels/saints, or whatever forces you might work with. (to call upon their power, often for protection)

bells (for cleansing)

dice (for luck)

stones or pebbles you like (for grounding)

in general, any object of significance to you.

how to use them: what i tend to do with these is use them in a bag spell, and then as soon as i’m done with the bag spell, i cleanse them and place them on my altar until i need them again. 

all of the above are things that you can easily find either at a dollar store, thrift store, or just lying around your house. i use them in spells all the time, and i find that they’re pretty helpful!

🌧️ rain chant ⛈️

this is a silly little chant that me and some other kids used to sing together in the locker rooms when we didn’t want to run laps in p.e. i’m posting it here because it was surprisingly effective - once, we got half of the girls in the grade to chant it with us, and the next day the school flooded. another time we all chanted it and we got a snow day. in less extreme cases, we often experienced light rain or snow shortly after chanting this.

rain, rain, condensation rain, rain, precipitation rain please come today - we don’t wanna run today! rain, rain, condensation rain, rain, precipitation (x20)

note: based on past trends, it will be more effective the more you chant it and the more people you get to chant it with you. i hope this is helpful!

Bag Spell for A Nice Day In The City

Intent: The purpose of this spell is to allow the person who makes and carries the bag with them a pleasant journey into, around, and out of the city.

Ingredients:

Rose Quartz (for attracting and building strong platonic and romantic relationships)

Snowflake Obsidian (for protection and grounding)

Amethyst (for protection and good mental health)

Clear Quartz (amplifier)

Any sigils you think you’ll need (I used three sigils - “I am aware and considerate of my surroundings” “I am emotionally healthy and happy” and “I eat properly and healthy”)

Some spare change - some pennies will do (for wealth and luck)

Pronoun pins (I included these because I am trans and being out in large public spaces makes me scared of being misgendered. The presence of pronoun pins affirms my gender identity. You can leave this out if you want to.)

A spare stopwatch or pocket watch (for getting to your destination on time)

A key (Represents unlocking goals and opening up new opportunities. This is also the physical representation of the witch in the spell, so make sure to find a key that you vibe with!)

A small bag or pouch (the vessel for the spell)

Instructions:

Prepare sigils by drawing them on slips of paper and writing their purpose on the back.

Open the bag, placing crystals inside one by one. As you place the crystals inside the bag, remember to focus your intent into them. Remind yourself what purpose each crystal has in your spell.

Next, add the spare change, pronoun pins, and pocket watch. The order in which you add these does not matter, but you should add them in separately, and remind yourself of their purpose in the spell.

If you have any sigils, you should now put them in the bag.

Finally, add the key.

Close the bag.

Carry this bag in your pocket while you spend time in the city. Do not open unless you want to break the spell. 

Things to Remember: I wrote this spell for myself first and foremost, as I live in a city myself and spend a lot of time uptown on the weekends, so this spell is tailored to best work for me. If you want to use the spell, I recommend you make any adjustments you need. For example, you might not experience gender dysphoria, in which case you probably won’t need to or want to include pronoun pins. That’s okay! Do what works for you. Also, with this spell, intent is the key, so if you want it to work for you, you have to remember to put a lot of intent into it.

Bag Spell for a Pleasant Test-Taking Experience

Intent: The purpose of this spell is to assure that the person who carries the bag has a stress-free test-taking experience, and is able to finish their test on time, and without worrying too much while they take their test.

Ingredients:

Aquamarine (for memory, and to promote verbal self-expression)

Amber (emotional ailments cured, unlocks inner wisdom)

Selenite (memory, illumination, healing)

Clear Quartz (amplifier)

Lemon Essential Oil

Cedarwood Essential Oil

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

A small glass vial.

Any sigils that you think you’ll need (I used a sigil for productivity and one for being free from stress. You can design them yourself or find pre-made designs online.)

A small watch or stopwatch (represents having enough time to take the test)

An old key (This represents unlocking goals, and is also a physical representation of the witch in the spell. Remember to find a key that vibes with you.)

A small bag or pouch

Instructions:

Prepare your sigils by drawing them on pieces of slips of paper. Make sure that the pieces of paper are small enough to fit into the bag without being folded. One the backside of each piece of paper, write the purpose of the sigil so as to remember/restate your intent when making them.

Prepare the essential oil mixture. Combine three drops of each of the above essential oils in a small glass vial, and seal the vial. This mixture is for clarity and focus.

Open the bag. First, place each crystal inside. Channel your energy into them. As you set each crystal inside of the bag, fill them with your intent and remember what each one is meant to do. The crystals do not have to be placed in any specific order. Do what feels right for you.

Next, place within the bag the watch/stopwatch. This watch will represent your ability to keep track of and utilize your testing time limits.

Add each of the sigils into the bag, in a way similar to that of the crystals. Remember what each sigil is there to do as you place them inside the bag.

Add the vial of essential oils.

Finally, add the key. This key is the representation of you, the witch and the test-taker, in the spell. It also symbolizes your ability to unlock and achieve your goals.

Close the bag firmly.

Make sure to keep this bag with you while you take the test, preferably in your pant or jacket pocket. I find it best to keep it in a jacket pocket, near the center of your body.

The bag can only be opened once the test is finished, at which point the spell is no longer in use. Crystals should be cleansed and recharged, as well as the other materials (if you plan on reusing them). Sigils can be torn up and recycled.

Things to Remember: Please keep in mind, friend, this spell won’t get you anywhere if you don’t study and prepare beforehand! Magick can only do so much of the work for you. This spell is only to allow for a pleasant experience while taking the test, not for a good grade afterwards. Remember to study beforehand for a duration of time, and to get good sleep before you take any tests, quizzes, or exams. Good luck!
