welcome to my first dew review!
despite mountain dew baja flash being released in june, it's been really hard to find flavors so i only just (10/12/21) found a bottle.
the mountain dew wiki describes the flavor as a piña colada flavor, which i can definitely taste the pineapple part of but im not very versed in what coconut is supposed to taste like, so i cant comment on that.
while there is a very pleasant, almost soothing for a carbonated drink, aftertaste as you swallow, the initial flavors almost fall flat. i can almost taste the pineapple. it's lackluster in a toxic sludge sorta way.
i love the yellow color and the label design, it's very fitting and lets you know to expect pineapple, but once again, you only get pineapple adjacent.
all in all, it's not great. by the halfway mark i no longer enjoyed drinking it. i'd rate this a 6/10. i wouldnt waste my occasional soda on a baja flash
thank you for coming to my first dew review! stat tuned for my next dew review which will be of the new flavor, mountain dew thrashed apple!
Fuck astrology what are your top 3 favorite flavors of Mountain Dew
where is her juice????

If Dew Like Piña Coladas...
Hey there, scrambled legs. If I’m doin’ one outside of the regular update day, you know what that means! Or should I say, I’m... Dewing one~
No. No, I should not. Anydangways...
Mountain Dew Baja Flash
So this is a Baja Blast spinoff. I guess drinks can have spinoffs now? It says “Flash”, but it’s yellow. So maybe it’s more of a Reverse Flash~
I like that they’re continuing with the neat label art they’ve been doing with the Major Melon and VooDew. Always nice when they put focus into presentation as well as the actual drink. And speaking of the actual drink, let’s crack this one open~
It’s a pineapple/coconut flavour. It doesn’t directly say “piña colada”, but it’s implying it pretty hard. I like pineapple soda, but it’s the addition of coconut that has me on the fence. I tried a piña colada Fanta a few months back, but I don’t think I saw fit to review it here. I guess it depends on how strong the flavour is~
Well, it’s definitely got a smell to it. Not very cleaning-product-y, which around here is always a bonus. We’ve come across too many like that. I wouldn’t say the smell necessarily suggests one or the other, though. so maybe it’s blended well~
Oh, you definitely taste the coconut, though, yeah. It’s honestly kind of strong. Fortunately, I don’t hate coconut or anything (coconut is actually one of my more favoured chocolate fillings, though that may be from the texture more than taste), but you might have to really love coconut to enjoy this one. Compared to, like, a bottle of pineapple Crush, this is a lot more muted in its pineapple flavour. If you like the piña colada Jelly Bellies (and getting caught in the rain), this might be a drink you’re into~
Alas, though, I have yet to find its companion flavour, Baja Punch. That’s the one I’m really looking forward to~
