Trektober "25 day 3. Orb Encounter
Sisko, the Messiah 🔮
Trektober 2025, Day 3: Orb Encounter. I think it's interesting that the only romantic relationship Kira had with even the remotest amount of chemistry was the one with a being that only identified as male as a matter of convenience. Just throwing that out there.
Well, and a bit of chemistry with the O'Briens but that was potentially a throuple with a lady so it doesn't necessarily count for our data points here.
Concept art by Ricardo Delgado, scanned from The Making of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It’s an orb in every sense except shape.
Can I interest you in a little Bajoran Orb Mug experience?
“Prophet Motive” (S03E16, Stardate Unknown) is a disappointment. There is only so much that can come from a story where the Ferengi meet the Prophets and the outcome is just not that entertaining. It would have been best suited as the B-plot, but Julian's story wasn't meaty enough for the A-plot either.
I could not get the image of a floating Grand Nagus head out of my head so it became the focus of my episode poster.
