Yes, I believe Ziam are still in a relationship.  

The fact that this is the 3rd babygate stunt makes it pretty easy to spot the patterns that suggest it’s fake.  1D’s team has always had this bizarre habit of repeating even the most specific and awkward of stunts over and over again.  

There’s a ridiculous amount of concrete evidence for babygate 1.0 (Louis) being fake.  There were several pretty egregious things for babygate 2.0 (Liam), but I stopped keeping track as rigorously by then.  Now that we’ve gotten to this third one, I just don’t have the energy to care.  Just by pattern alone, it’s extremely likely Zayn isn’t actually the father.  

He seems not at all invested or interested in the pregnancy/child.  He repeatedly tweeted about sports every time he came online instead of, you know, announcing he was going to be a father.  I think the most we’ve gotten is some pictures of his hands with the baby?  Which is one of the signs of photoshop, to be honest.  It’s easier to photoshop a hand than a face after all.  Anyway, if Zayn really had a child, he would be all over that.  He was adorable with Lux and he’s 1D’s resident group mom.  The fact that he’s ignoring it as much as possible is a big red flag.

The birth of the child being announced right when Zayn was announcing new music also fits the pattern where Gigi leaches off of Zayn’s career and drags all the spotlight to herself anytime he has a big release.  There’s no reason for Zayn to use a baby for promo when he has actual creative content being released, so the only reason to announce it at the same time as the baby is to bring attention to Gigi.  Their fake relationship has always been horrifically toxic above and beyond the average 1D fauxmance in that way.

Finally, at least Louis and Liam (and maybe Niall?) almost immediately and pointedly congratulated Zayn about the baby.  If you supposedly haven’t been on speaking terms for 5 years, is that really likely?  This stunt behavior exactly mirrors how Zayn, among other boys, was used to prop up the original babygate in 2016, even when he and Louis were supposed to be actively in the middle of fighting.

So yeah, even without the concrete evidence we have for babygate 1.0, the patterns for this being fake are all there.  Do I believe there’s a real baby?  Yes.  Do I believe Gigi is the mother?  Probably?  Do I think Zayn is the dad?  Nope.  

I say that there’s no concrete evidence (that I’m aware of), but keep in mind that: 

I’m clearly not as on top of this as I was for the first babygate

One of the reasons that there’s so much for babygate 1.0 is that there are YEARS of info

Another reason that there will probably be more for babygate 1.0 than for 3.0 is that Gigi’s stuff is actually being handled by a team while Brianna’s family just... posts whatever in the cringiest possible way

Yet another reason that there will probably be more for babygate 1.0 than 3.0 is that Zayn’s basically a career/social media hermit at this point, so there’s less to glean information from

So it makes sense that there’s not going to be as much concrete evidence for this babygate.  It doesn’t make it any less fake.  It’s just a different set of circumstances information-wise.

Hey, Gami! How have you been? Just wanna ask something 1d related, what are your thoughts on the boys' "kids"?

Hello!  I’m doing ok.  Mostly trying to stop myself from tanking my sleep schedule and not succeeding very well.  I always get happy when someone calls me “Gami” in my asks.  I don’t think many of the people who were around back when that name got started are still here.  I’ve always wanted a nickname completely unrelated to my actual name, so I was really pleased when people started calling me that.

As to your question, I’m sure that these kids exist and are very lovely.  They just aren’t the children of the 1D boys.  They maybe could have pulled Zayn’s off if they hadn’t done such a piss-poor job of Louis’ and to a lesser extent Liam’s babygates.  But at this point, there’s no way I’m buying any of them.

I mean, it doesn’t help their credibility when Ziam and Larry are still out there making references to each other.  Zayn’s showing up on social media dressed as a Slytherin on the same night Liam has Tom Felton performing with him, Liam’s putting the very non-Halloween-themed birds that match Zayn’s tattoos on his very Halloween-themed merch, Liam and Zayn are both making reference to “The Boy is Mine”, Louis and Harry are wearing the same sweatshirt, Harry is constantly being suspected of blue-green coding, and I’m sure there’s other recent stuff that I’m not remembering or never became aware of.

Besides that, you know that the minute one of them is actually a father, they’re going to turn into a pile of ridiculously proud and goopy mush.  They were already halfway there in their late teens just discussing the possibility of having kids.  I could believe that they would have kids we never knew about because some celebs have pulled that off in order to give their families all of the protection from the public they can.  However, I will never believe that they would announce having a kid and then not be the sappiest shits ever.  You can’t exactly claim that Larry or Ziam are the subtle types either.  We know way more about their sex lives than I think any fandom should know about real people and that’s entirely their fault for the shit they pulled on camera and in interviews.  My point is that they’re not so big on keeping their mouths shut about usually private things, so I kind of doubt they would hide their kids away instead of gushing about them.

Imagine growing up one day and finding out that you are/were the fake public child of a celebrity that you don’t even really know.  Imagine growing up and realizing your fun uncle is your fake public dad.  I don’t even want to imagine what emotions you’d go through.  It’s both funny and terrifying to think about.

Just a heads up, but I’m turning off my anon asks for now.  The ratio of anon asks that have to be blocked to legitimate anon asks is at least 2:1 and if I’m dreading looking at my asks every time I see I have a new one, it’s time to cut it off.  I’ll probably reopen them at some point in the future when the asshats forget I exist again.

Hi! I've been feeling really down, as well as frustrated and sad these past few days and I guess I'm here for a bit of reassurance maybe? Your blog was what opened my eyes to Ziam and also to the stunt ot4 v Zayn and all that, about a year ago, so I'm quite new. Your masterposts especially have been very informative! So basically I trust your judgement in this as someone who's been here a while and gone through it. Anyway, I completely believe in Ziam along with Larry now (been a Larrie (1)

(2) a long while) and I also believe all bbg's are fake etc. The thing I still get confused about/doubt sometimes, is the whole Harry&Louis & Zayn 'feud' thing. Most days I'm sure in my heart that all the twitter fights and post-interviews being mad at Z is all fake and part of a narrative. Zayn honestly even put lyrics to a song about a fight before actual fight for fucks sake?! Also it was all so ridiculous and public, childish, etc. it can't possibly have been real. Then his 'falling out

(3) with NB in the end. Also what ELSE (if not that 'fight') could they have been mad at him for? For 'leaving' because of his health (or whatever they said was the reason)? And after all this time still being mad/or at least bringing it up? Sounds very unlike H&L too doesn't it? Then I remember rbb/sbb, and this is something I've researched TOO MUCH honestly. Some people still refuse to even admit it was there or that it meant ANYTHING. But that goddamn yellow smiley was there several times

(4) after the 'twitter fight'. Why would that be the case? Also Ziam being together, and Louis being so close with Liam and hating on his man? It just doesn't add up anywhere. Sorry I know this is just me sounding very insecure about it all and atm I kinda am. I was having a discussion with a Larrie the other day. One of the bigger blogs with a big influence and lots of people reblogged and agreed with them, when I was trying to point out how I think 1D as a 'whole' are still being under some

(5) form of contract or image clause at the very least. They said the whole contract thing is fanfiction at this point (besides Louis essentially) and the other boys are all free to do whatever. They also don't believe in Ziam or that Zayn is friends with the boys at all. Mentioned how Harry is still 'salty' about him in interviews etc etc. They are so SURE of themselves. But yeah even though I mostly KNOW I still doubt on this because of the fucked up narratives. what if H&L / Zayn really did

(7) has been a stunt? Not saying they hang out as best friends these days maybe, what with their own lives and pandemic on top of it, but do you still think they're 'family'/ot5forever'? I honestly feel like I get gaslighted even by Larries these days and it's not much fun to follow them anymore :( Seeing Harry with Niall made me smile though! Number 6 never seems to have made it to my inbox.  Good job numbering them, though, because I never would have realized one was missing otherwise.

Anyway, I hate to say it, but talking to Larries is a fraught prospect.  Almost all of the people who still call themselves Larries don’t believe in Ziam and it’s because they’ve never bothered to actually look at the evidence.  They don’t treat all of the boys with the same respect or interest that they treat Harry and Louis, so any time you try to convince them of a stunt related to Liam, Zayn, or Niall, they’re likely going to make their decision based on nothing but bias and refuse to budge on it no matter how much evidence you have.  Taking their word on Louis being the only one still under contract/sabotaged when they clearly don’t pay any attention to what’s actually going on with the other boys would be foolish.  You can always try to change a Larrie’s mind and maybe there should always be people that do try, but from my perspective, it’s just a depressing and infuriating situation to put yourself in.  

At best, I would have those conversations privately, especially if the blog has a lot of influence.  A blog with a lot of influence has ulterior motives to not changing their views publicly because if they do, they may well lose followers.  You may have a chance of getting them to look at evidence if you’re talking in private though.

I know the whole 1D friendship thing is hard right now because it’s been more than 5 years since they’ve really interacted.  We’ve gotten some Niam, Nouis, and Lilo here and there, but most of that is just talk even, no pics.  Because we have no immediate evidence of their friendship in front of us, all we have to rely on is interviews which we KNOW are BS-narrative machines.  It’s hard to ignore them when it’s all we have, but we should ignore them anyway because past experience has taught us just how much interviews push stunt narratives.

I would actually say the whole Narry outing recently gives us more to believe in than anything else.  If Harry and Niall hung out completely in public and we only found out about it through a picture a week or two later that could easily have never been identified by a fan, then it’s pretty likely that all the boys have managed to hang out whenever they want without being noticed, right?  Especially if they went to each other’s houses instead of to a public hiking trail.  There’s so much going on behind the scenes that we don’t have access to or knowledge of.  Zayn could have hung out with any one of the boys at any time because we hardly know where he is.  He’s almost never even on social media, so there are huge chunks of time where he’s unaccounted for.

The hiatus is hard specifically because of a lack of new information and because the status quo (in terms of the BS narrative) has had no reason to change for a long time.  I’ve said it before, but with Zayn’s situation, the only time after hiatus started that it makes narrative and business sense to reverse the “feud” narrative is leading up to a reunion.  That means we most likely WILL NOT see any improvement until a reunion approaches and with the pandemic, that’s definitely not happening this year and probably not even next.  It sucks, but the status quo of BS being maintained is what we should expect right now and just because it IS being maintained isn’t a sign of anything having worsened.  It’s just logical.  If you want to use the hype of a reconciliation to get fans excited, to sell tickets, to earn money, etc., then you need to wait until a reunion so that you HAVE tickets to sell and money to earn.

I would say hold on to the logical conclusions you can come to from the time when we had a lot of information to go off of (the OTRA tour and just after) and try not to read into anything happening now because there’s just about NOTHING happening right now and there’s just not enough data to find patterns and draw conclusions about the reality behind the fakery.

I'm new to this fandom and just discovered Niall's No Judgement mv. Not sure if I'm being disrespectful/crazy to make captain Niall's video about Ziam/Larry, but uh, if you put that song and that video in that context it really fits like a glove. And seeing the past year all 4 of the boys in question have been pretty loud too... Maybe it's not that much of a stretch? I could do an analysis of it (I'm new to tumblr too), disrespectful or go for it?

I try to avoid making any of 1D’s solo stuff about anyone but themselves or their significant other.  

For instance, I’ll speculate that a Harry song is about Harry and Louis, but I won’t speculate that a Zayn or Liam song is about Larry.  I just find it somewhat insulting to them to assume that their world revolves around their bandmates.  Since this happens mostly with people assuming a Niall, Liam, or Zayn song is about Larry and not the other way around, it tends to show the bias a lot of fans have of looking more critically at Louis and Harry’s situations but refusing to do the same for Niall and Ziam.

Personally, I wouldn’t interpret No Judgment through the lens of Ziam or Larry with the assumption that was the original meaning when it was written.  Niall has his own experiences with being famous and dating and that comes with a lot of judgment.  I would guess that No Judgment is related to that moreso than to Larry or Ziam.

It’s up to you what you would feel comfortable with, but yeah, I’d kind of fall on the side of seeing it as a bit disrespectful.

I trust ur opinion, and I wanted to ask u; I saw a louis talking about how harry has been a selfish asshole for quite some time now, and since louis doesn’t like selfish people, it would add up that they are no longer together—considering harry’s recent stunt & antimask behavior. I’m not sure how to reconcile any of this recent info. do u have any thoughts about it?

I don’t think we can really speak to Harry’s behavior as a whole.  All we see is bits and pieces, the vast majority of them specifically meant to be seen by the public and, thus, tailored for that purpose.  Anything related to promotion is probably trying to convey a specific image and yeah, sometimes Harry’s image comes off as pretentious, I would assume to appeal to the snobby rock crowd and give Harry “credibility”.  But again, the crafted image for Harry that the marketing team think is best is not who Harry is.  As far as I can tell, he still carries himself with dignity and tries to be kind and understanding and even socially aware.

I would agree that Harry hasn’t been the best at limiting traveling and making sure to wear his mask in public places.  Niall hasn’t either, to be honest.  I can’t remember how Louis and Liam have been faring.  We definitely see a lot less of Louis in general, but I can’t remember if either of them traveled for fun.  I feel like they did, though.  Zayn we never see, so who could possibly know with him.

I haven’t noticed anything particularly asshole-ish about Harry lately, aside from the COVID precautions stuff.

I just don’t see how a fan can accurately make a judgment of Louis’ willingness to be with Harry based on the tiny amount of their daily lives we actually get to see.  The only way we can make a guess at their relationship status is by paying attention to the hints they put out there.  Considering Louis JUST wore a rather blatant huge “H” on his shirt during his livestream, I would assume he and Harry are doing just fine.

I p much dropped off the face of the 1D fandom planet until their 10 year anniversary and here I am again. Oops. 😂 anyway: it feels like Liam just talks about Zayn a lot but Zayn doesn’t talk about Liam/1D EVER. Why do you think that is?? Thank you for always being my go-to tumblr, you’re phenomenal ❤️

I think it’s mainly because we don’t hear Zayn talk about ANYTHING, EVER.  He’s MIA 99% of the time, and the other 1% of the time is random social media posts, occasional pap walks, and obviously manufactured print interviews.  It’s kind of hard to talk about Liam when you never get a chance to say anything publicly at all.

But listening to Zayn’s albums is like being drowned in his love for Liam, so that kind of makes up for it ;)

The other guys went hard for ot5 during the 10th anniversary and this might just be my feeling, but I think maybe they did that because they knew Zayn wasn’t going to be able/allowed to react to it himself.  I think maybe something has loosened up contract-wise so that they CAN be more positive towards Zayn.  I’m not expecting huge changes or any quick progress, but I’m cautiously optimistic.

-flops down- Howwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww are we still HERE, Gami? It feels like March 25th happened yesterday, with the way this ugly narrative is going. I'm so tired. I can't believe we waited all this time and NOTHING has changed re OT5. (Don't get me wrong, I love the boys' solo careers, but GOD I wish I'd gotten the fuck out the same day that FB post dropped, sigh)

I feel you, for sure.  Lately I feel like I’m here as a job more than because I enjoy it.  I go through the new events every day (not helped by the update accounts that are cluttering my dash with throwbacks rather than... you know, updates) just so that I’m active, but I almost never actually watch interviews or read articles anymore, and I haven’t even listened to all the albums that are out.  I’m just going through the motions right now.

I love all the boys individually, but I’ve always been a fan mainly of boy bands.  I love the band dynamic, so much so that I was watching an old TV show recently and realized that a group of 4 characters felt like a boy band.  My boyfriend then told me I was watching the Monkees, and I was like “Oh, I really can spot it without having a clue beforehand.”  I love being able to participate vicariously in the friendship and watch all the personalities bounce off of each other. 

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what we’re not getting with all the boys being solo.  I watched Niall and Liam’s livestream from a few days ago and it almost made me cry with how happy I was to see them laughing together.  I still want that and I think that I could get really into the band again if we’re given that, but right now it’s been such a long drought and I’m just not feeling the spark with them all separate.

I think I could even be a fan of the band without Zayn, but that’s ONLY if the Zayn situation is resolved.  If it’s not, then all I’ll ever feel when looking at OT4 is an ache of what should be and isn’t (not to mention frustration that the majority of the fandom will continue to think they’re right and to demonize Zayn).  I need Zayn to be on good terms with the boys publicly and to know that it’s his decision not to return and that everyone is ok with that if I’m to be a fan of the band without him.

I 100% believe that Zayn didn’t leave of his own accord and that he was supposed to return before the end of OTRA (I don’t see how anyone who actually looks at the evidence could believe otherwise, I mean there were 4 or 5 overlapping patterns of shade pointing to the same day for heaven’s sake), but time can change plans.  

I have no idea how much Zayn actually gets stage anxiety or how much he wants to perform.  My first instinct is still to say that he does fine when in a band at least and that his solo career was DEFINITELY sabotaged so it’s very likely that his not performing was not his decision.  However, it’s possible that he could decide during the hiatus that he’s happier out of the spotlight.  

That worries me because in that scenario, we’ll never get a proper resolution.  We’ll never know for sure if Zayn is coming back until he just... doesn’t... and doesn’t... and still doesn’t.

The things Liam has been saying about Zayn lately make me wonder if there’s any way the boys could let us know that Zayn’s not coming back that I’d actually believe.  Is Liam saying those things because it’s the same old bullshit narrative or is it because Zayn IS happier out of the spotlight and won’t be coming back and he’s trying to manage our expectations?  How am I supposed to know?  I don’t want to be that person that refuses to believe anything they’re told to the point of delusional denial, but when the situation has been so messed up from the start, how am I supposed to believe anything that plays into the negative narrative?

What I normally go off of is the outliers.  I look at the things the boys do that don’t fit the official narrative and those let me know that I’m right about the official narrative being bullshit.  Unfortunately, with the amount of time that’s passed and with Zayn being MIA 99% of the time, we’re not exactly getting a constant flow of shade/hints anymore.  The stuff that we do get is a lot more ambiguous and it’s hard to tell if it’s even intentional or if it’s just easy to read into.

I know that normally I’m saying that I’m in it for the long haul and to just hold on, but it would be willfully blind to ignore the possibility that we may not end up getting an OT5 reunion in the end.  That doesn’t mean we were wrong about the whole thing though.  And hey, we may still get that OT5 reunion.  I’m only talking about possibilities here.

I’m sorry to be a downer, but I feel like it’s only reasonable to acknowledge these feelings.  I’m pretty sure everyone who’s still here has thought some, if not all, of these things.  I’ll still be here for now, and I’ll let you know if that changes.
